Finding products to to start affiliate marketing is usually as easy as going to any website (Wal-Mart, Bass Pro, Stub hub, etc.) but sometimes connecting people can be a little tricky without the right know how.So if I can just have a few moments of your time perhaps we can put things into perspective.

If you’re anything like me when I got started you’re probably very excited as well as skeptical about trying to make money online promoting other people’s products.

Why isn’t everyone doing this?

Well the truth is a lot of the people getting started in affiliate marketing get confused in the beginning and never take it any further than just a dream of financial independence and getting out of that dead-end job.

While other affiliate marketers are running around trying to find expensive or shiny products to promote let’s just take a moment to think about our market.

If you could have just one thing to make you better than all your competition…what would it be?

Give up? How about a “starving crowd”?

What is a starving crowd you ask?

A starving crowd can be seen as a group of people that have a problem…a problem that they think about at least once or more a day. Now as an awesome affiliate marketer it is going to be your job to make the connection between the starving crowd and the solution or at least something helpful.

For example: If you are soon to be a first time home buyer…that is something that is an issue you will be thinking about nonstop.Now as an affiliate marketer you can find a product, perhaps a first time home buyers guide and then make the connection. Not only will you see a fat check from the affiliate program…but you helped solve someone’s problem, cool right.

If you are planning on taking a crack at affiliate marketing for any level of income at all…understanding the importance of the starving crowd is crucial.

So when getting started do a little brainstorming to figure out what group of people out there you can help.

As soon as you figure that out you will be leaps and bounds in front of a large majority of the other affiliate marketers.
