http://www.xythos.com is a website that my school uses to provide students with server space. I’ve got a few pages set up here.

This is the homepage to a homepage for a fake company that our Webmastering teacher told us to make as homework. If you copy and paste that URL and go to it, it doesn’t open in a new page. Instead, a window comes up asking if you want to download the file.

If you hit open, it’ll show my webpage. Look at the links on the top of the page. The links on top go to fake websites not affiliated with mine. However, the two on the bottom, “Investors Relations” and “Marketing”. Like the other page, it prompts the user to open or save a file.

I just want those two links to go straight to a webpage hosted on my server without having to go through the “open/save” window.

Please help, I’m terrible at this stuff.

It seems you have administrative access to the files. Just make sure your xhtml/html document is in the root directory where your site is. Then rename it to index.html. That should work fine.

Now, when a customer buys from you, it shows that there is a mutual trust between the two of you. When you follow up with them, it strengthens that trust.

So, when you offer another product, you make it easier for them to decide.

2. Back end product

They have already bought something from you and that prove that there is a mutual trust between the two of you. And often there are products that compliment the first product that your customers bought.

Affiliate marketing can be considered as a relationship business. If you fail to build relationships you will fail in this industry.

By building relationships doesn’t mean that you limit the relationship with your prospects and customers. You need to build relationships with other affiliate marketers simply because they help to sell your products and build your wealth online.

When you joint venture with them, you can leverage on their reputation and your product will sell like hotcakes. So, you earn fast and with less work, affiliate marketers earn commission and the customers fulfill their needs. It is a triple win situation. Such wonderful business.

4. Reliability

Ask yourself this, how reliable are you? Can your customers and affiliate marketers count on your words?

As simple as this affiliate marketing strategy may sound, a lot of affiliate marketers fail to practice this reliability in their business. Too many affiliate marketers join the industry with the “take the money and run” attitude.

They market the products, get your money and leave you wonder in the dark.

Always remember that you join affiliate marketing to earn a long term and stable income. Do you need to scam others for their hard earn money and exploit their dream to earn a living online?

Most often, the answer is “No”.
